What do the cat personality options mean?

Use personality labels to give sitters a quick sense of how your cat usually behaves. Choose the closest match, then add anything important in the routine and notes field.

Personality options

  • Affectionate: Loves attention, cuddling, and being held or sitting on laps.
  • Playful: Highly active, needs regular playtime, and may get into mischief if bored.
  • Shy: Takes time to warm up to strangers, startles easily, and prefers quiet environments.
  • Independent: Content doing their own thing, tolerates petting but prefers personal space.
  • Curious: Loves exploring every nook and cranny, climbing high, and investigating new things.
  • Mellow: A relaxed, go-with-the-flow cat that adapts easily and enjoys lounging.
  • Anxious: Highly sensitive to changes, loud noises, or new people, and prone to hiding.
  • Vocal: Frequently meows or chirps to demand attention, food, or simply to chat.

Add more detail

Personality labels are only a summary. Use your cat notes to explain what helps your cat settle, what the sitter should avoid, and whether your cat behaves differently with new people.
