When do sitters get paid?
Sitters are usually paid after a completed, paid booking once CatsOnly checks are clear and Stripe has made the funds available.
Usual timing
CatsOnly usually starts payout 3 days after the booking ends, once Stripe has made the funds available.
This 3-day point also marks the end of the sitter self-service refund window. If the sitter needs to refund a paid booking after care has started, they should do it before this window closes. After that, the booking needs support review.
Why timing can vary
Timing can vary if:
- A booking is reported.
- A booking is cancelled.
- A refund is being handled.
- The payment needs support review.
- Stripe needs more time before funds are available.
- Stripe returns a failed or pending payout status.
What sitters receive
The sitter payout is based on the paid booking amount after the CatsOnly sitter fee and Stripe processing fee have been deducted. CatsOnly records the actual Stripe fee after payment, so the final payout can vary by payment method.
Read Sitter fees and payment methods for fee examples and payment-method details.
Keep payout details current
Keep your Stripe payout account and CatsOnly profile information up to date. Owners may be blocked from paying if your payout setup is not ready, and payouts can be delayed if Stripe needs updated account information.
If a payout looks late, check the booking status first. If the booking does not explain the delay, open the booking and select Report concern. Include the booking dates, owner name, and what looks wrong.
