How should I use booking messages?

Use booking messages for the practical details that affect whether the sitter can accept, complete, or support the booking. Keeping those details in CatsOnly helps both people check what was agreed.

Good message details

Useful messages are specific:

  • Arrival windows and access notes.
  • Feeding, medication, litter, and household routines.
  • Questions about dates, service type, price, or care expectations.
  • Updates during the booking.
  • Photos or extra context where CatsOnly supports them.

Before the sitter accepts

Use messages to agree anything that affects whether the sitter can accept, such as strict medication timing, more cats than expected, bank holiday dates, or care that will take longer than the listed visit type.

Keep sensitive details limited

Only share information needed for the booking.

If a message raises a safety, welfare, payment, or account issue, open the booking and select Report concern. Include what happened, when it happened, and what help you need. CatsOnly support will review the report.
