How do service types and price changes work?
CatsOnly lets sitters set rates for 1 visit per day, 2 visits per day, and overnight care. The owner and sitter should agree the practical details before the sitter accepts the booking.
Agree the practical meaning of the service
Use messages to agree the practical detail behind the selected service, such as:
- How long each visit is expected to take.
- Whether visits need to happen at specific times.
- Whether medication has strict timing.
- Whether there are more cats than expected.
- Whether the booking includes bank holiday or school holiday dates.
- Whether the home routine means the booking needs a different price.
For suggested expectations, read What do the CatsOnly service types include?.
Changed prices
If the booking needs a different price, sitters can propose a new price before the booking is paid. This is currently the main route for handling extras such as additional cats, complex medication needs, holiday dates, or a care routine that takes longer than expected.
Separate automatic profile settings for additional cats or medical needs are not currently available.
When proposing a different price, include a short note explaining what changed. That gives the owner clear context before they decide whether to continue.
Fees
CatsOnly's sitter fees are shown on the main sitter page and explained in the help centre fees guide.
